Popcorn Shrimp "Nachos"

Playing with your food has never been more fun. My family appreciates my creativity in the kitchen and I really enjoy coming up with fresh ideas. We love traditional nachos, so I thought making popcorn shrimp nachos would be pretty amazing. Frozen Popcorn Shrimp makes this recipe so easy to make any night of the week and it's good enough to serve to company. If you like it extra silly like me, call them Shrimp-chos. For this recipe, I wanted to use shrimp that was easy to grab and dip.

It's time to get excited about seafood again. Knowing that you can reach into your freezer for quality seafood anytime, is a huge perk. I often overlook how easy it is myself, so I'm loving this inspiration to get creative with meals again. So, let's make some Popcorn Shrimp Nachos!

This recipe is so flexible because you can top your Popcorn Shrimp with all of your favorite nacho toppings. You can even make it different each time you serve it to keep it fun and fresh. Here's what I added to mine:

Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Chopped Tomatoes
Chopped Red Onion
Green Onions
Jalapeno Slices
Sour Cream
Guacamole

More yummy shrimp-chos toppings you might love: cheese sauce, salsa or beans. If you want to try something a little more daring, you can even add ground beef. If you do, you have to let me know how it is!

To make this recipe, start by preparing two packages of Gorton's Popcorn Shrimp according to directions. Once the shrimp is ready, melt shredded cheddar cheese on top. I did ¾ cup. Once the cheese is melted, top with all of your favorite nacho toppings and serve immediately while it's nice and toasty.
