It’s a wonderful time of the year, we’re smack in the middle of the holidays and we’re almost ready to kick off the new year! It’s a time to gather with friends and family and enjoy each others company. Essentially, it’s a time to celebrate love and every little thing that we’re grateful for this year. Today, I’m excited to share a fun mocktail made with Zevia, to add a little sparkle to your gatherings and give you something extra fun to say #CheersTo with! This is a sponsored post about Zevia, all opinions are my own.
I was challenged to head to Whole Foods to gather up ingredients to create a Zevia-Infused beverage. What fun! I had’t visited in way too long. It’s always a fun place to shop and they have such wonderful options. When I spotted Black Cherry Zevia, I had the idea to make a lightened up Cherries Jubilee Mocktail. It sounded right and I knew Whole Foods would have all the ingredients I needed (oh and SO much more). We have a certain adoration for a chocolate and strawberry cake found in their glorious bakery.
Now, if you’ve never heard of Zevia, let me tell you a little about it now. It’s a zero calorie soda with no sugar and no artificial sweeteners. You might be wondering if it actually tastes sweet then, and HOW! They use stevia to sweeten their soda naturally. Plus, it’s available in a whopping 15 flavors ranging from Black Cherry, Lemon Lime Twist all the way to Grapefruit Citrus!
To get my drinkable Black Cherry Jubilee recipe on, I made sure to pick up Black Cherry 100% Juice, Vanilla Frozen Yogurt, Frozen Black Cherries, Whipped Cream, Pound Cake and Zevia of course. I bought both Black Cherry and the Lemon Lime Twist since some recipes for Cherries Jubilee call for lemon zest. I thought it would be interesting to try both and see which one I liked better.
For holiday parties, I thought it would be fun to let people make their own drinks by setting up the ingredients bar style. First, their choice of Zevia flavor, then black cherry juice, a big ole scoop for vanilla froyo and a few frozen black cherries. Then, top with whipped cream, an extra cherry and a little mini slice of pound cake. Oh, the fun!
I really like how my creation came out, especially when made with the Black Cherry Zevia. It’s a fun holiday treat or one to enjoy anytime. The balance of the zero calorie soda makes this a fun way to indulge. Cheers to you this holiday season! Bottoms up!
