Carob, Peanut Butter & Banana Protein Smoothie

Carob, Peanut Butter & Banana Protein Smoothie

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of AllWhites Egg Whites for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Opting for healthy protein packed meals can seem pretty boring at times. While I have my own favorites, eating the same thing day after day gets me feeling less than motivated to say the least. Since that is pretty much the opposite of what I'm going for, I'm always game for trying something new.

Amazing protein packed smoothie that tastes like dessert. Nom!

That's exactly what I did this week with a little inspiration from AllWhites Egg Whites. While egg whites are a regular on my menu, I've never considered adding them to a smoothie. Kind of brilliant if you ask me. Adding protein powders to smoothies can be pretty expensive, so this is a great budget friendly swap.

Amazing protein packed smoothie that tastes like dessert. Nom! The original recipe calls for Carob powder can be found in the Natural or Health section of your grocery store. Carob doesn't contain chocolate, cocoa or caffeine. It's a fat free alternative for chocolate. One of my other favorite alternatives are Cacao powder as well.  Feel free to swap your chocolate replacement with any of the three options: Carob, Cacao or Cocoa powder.

Amazing protein packed smoothie that tastes like dessert. Nom!

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this quick protein packed smoothie tastes more like a decadent dessert than a healthy option. Most importantly, I've found myself another tasty option for a quick meal or treat!
