Tips for Hosting a Game Day Party at Home

I've been chatting about watching football at home a lot. It's one of the ways my family and I really enjoy spending time with each other in the fall. We don't just plomp in front of the T.V. and call it a party, oh no. I like to do it big! I'm going to share some of my favorite ideas to host a "gameday" party right at home. No fuss, just the basics so you can enjoy the company just as much as the big game. I'm a sponsored blog partner with Lunchbox  I'm a sponsored blog partner with Lunchbox, regardless, all opinions are my own. Today's discussion is about about LG official corporate partner of NCAA® Football.

Great food - Any party is fueled by awesome food. There is just no way around it. Picking the right snacks to go along with the theme can really amp up your party. There are some foods that just totally go with football watching, don't you agree? If I could narrow football food down to two categories they would be meat and dip.

dip

If you could mix the two - that's a total win!  Example? Cheeseburger dip. Yup, definitely a winner. Try making it in a slow cooker! Great way to easily keep delicious meaty or cheesy dips warm during your party.

Finger foods are always perfect for gameday. Spicy buffalo sauces are always a win. If you've hung around here long, you've probably seen one of my favorite combos. Waffle fries topped with melty blue cheese, cheddar cheese and of course buffalo sauce. Chicken wings, chips or veggies with dips are always a "score".

Play Games - with all the delicious finger foods happening, breaking up your party with a little real ball is fun. Either play some catch before, after or during half time. It's a great way to really boost up the energy and fun level.  It's funny, my son rarely ever finishes watching a game on T.V. because it really revs him up to go outside and play.  It's yet another fun way to create fun memories on gameday, just make sure to take lots of pictures!

Great  T.V. - Let's face it, inviting friends and family over to watch an exciting game is not going to be awesome unless you have a great T.V.  My hubby and I invested in a new one a couple of months ago and after comparing quality and cost, we proudly brought home an LG TV from Walmart.  After playing with our settings and setting it up for high definition, we simply couldn't believe the quality. It's incredible, seriously.  LG is offering tips here to optimize your own Smart TV to get the best picture quality. LG Smart TVs offers infinite detail, Cinema 3D, easy access to limitless content, Ultra HD and Laser technology! Sounds perfect for GameDay, no?
