CHOCOLATE CHERRY NO BAKE PIE

When it comes to Valentine's Day Desserts, you can't go wrong with the combo of cherry and chocolate flavors (if you ask me). Yum. This basic gelatin pie recipe has been one of my favorite go-tos. I thought it was time to give it a chocolate and cherry makeover, and what better time of the year to do it. This flavor pairing is so spot on. You may not even want to share it. Let me show you what I used to make it. The beauty is that there are only 4 ingredients. YES. Just four! It could not get any easier than this.

Here is what you need to make this yummy dessert:

  • Instant Cherry Gelatin Mix
  • Chocolate Pie Crust
  • Whipped Topping
  • Chocolate Curls

I also did add a cherry for a pretty garnish, but it's totally optional.

It all starts in your mixing bowl with hot water and your gelatin mix. Then, we cool it down with a few ice cubes. Set it in the fridge for about 20 minutes and then we fold in a container of whipped topping. That is the entire pie filling. Now it's on to the toppings.

Once you add the filling to your store-bought pie crust, it's time to have some whipped topping and chocolate fun.

The topping of this pie is another container of whipped topping. You can spread it right on top, or get a little fancy like I did. I used a pastry bag and frosting tip to make mine a bit more festive.

The only thing left to do is to add some chocolate to the top. I used store-bought chocolate curls. You can also use mini chocolate chips if that is what you have on hand. You could even add crushed chocolate cookies, too.
