Are you getting ready to celebrate the last long weekend of summer? Hosting a cookout or BBQ is a great way savor the end of the season. Traditionally, Labor Day parties have a patriotic theme including red, white and blue. This kid-friendly Patriotic Punch will make a great addition to your celebration! You won't believe how easy it is to make.
When it comes to stretching my budget for parties, Family Dollar has become a great resource for me. Their $1 Wow items and Everyday Low Prices help me get so much more bang for my buck. I've been finding some really cute goodies lately like colorful ice cube trays and festive drink stirrers. Patriotic Punch
This festive punch comes together so easily. To prepare for your Labor Day celebrations, make red and blue juice ice cubes in advance. I used Hawaiian Punch Fruit Juicy Red and Berry Blue Typhoon.
Once your first set of ice cubes is ready, you can store them in a large bowl and leave them in your freezer. Make as many batches as you need. When it's party time, just take the bowl of flavored ice cubes out of the freezer to serve. I suggest keeping the different colors in separate bowls to keep the colors sharp.
When you're ready to serve your Patriotic Punch, add as many colorful flavored ice cubes to your glasses or cups.
Then, just add your choice of clear soda such as Sprite or lemonade for a tasty twist. These no fuss Labor Day inspired drinks will add a special touch to your celebration. Find your local Family Dollar to shop for more fun finds. These hot dog holders that I spotted make another wonderful addition to parties on a budget.
