3 Ingredient Slow Cooker Zesty Cheddar Chicken Recipe

It's been so cold here, making it just the perfect time for making dinner in the slow cooker. Hey, not that you need an excuse, it's always a great time to cook in one. I love experimenting with super simple ingredients, especially with chicken. It always comes out so juicy and tender, making it easy to add some flavor to it without going overboard or causing you to spend too much.

zesty slow cooker chickenAdding a can of condensed soup really helps keep the chicken juicy, so anytime I want to try something simple, that is where I begin. Campbell's Cheddar Cheese Soup is definitely my favorite starting point, my family seems to love it to. I wanted to try something to give it a little zest, so I opted for adding some Kraft Zesty Italian dressing as well. So cheddar soup + Italian Dressing + chicken = tender delicious zesty goodness.

ingredientsI generally serve my crock pot chicken over rice, for an added shortcut you can buy those pre-made pouches and just warm them up or make a big batch of rice that will be great for easy leftovers. Making the rice on your own will definitely be the most cost effective, but if time is your enemy the pouches can be a serious time saver. Using about 2.5 of boneless chicken generally feeds our family of 3 for 2 or more meals, so it's definitely worth cooking up a large batch of rice for us. Plus, my hubby is a total rice addict which I believe can be attributed to his Puerto Rican heritage. We've definitely eaten a ton of rice over the years, which I haven't minded a bit  😉 Now on to the ever so simple deets on how to whip up this thrillingly simple chicken dish in your slow cooker!

  1. I don't think I've ever seen the cheddar soup. I always buy Campbell's soups to make quick easy meals because time is short, I'm sick, and I care for a son with a chronic illness. Is it just available overseas? Thankyou
