Christmas Tree Pastry Recipe

After checking out this new recipe resource, I fell instantly in love with these Christmas Tree Pastries. Making something so cute and festive that's easy to do is right up my ally. I think you're going to love these too!

Original Recipe from The Best Meals Happen at Home. I adapted it just a very tiny bit to get my own results.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package (17.3 ounces) Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets, thawed
  • ⅓ cup vanilla pudding
  • ¼ cup honey, warmed as needed
  • Green decorating sugar
  • 8 maraschino cherry halves

Heat the oven to 400°F. Unfold 1 pastry sheet on lightly floured surface. Cut 3 stars of each size, using 3 star cookie cutters in graduated sizes. Repeat with the remaining pastry sheet. Place the 24 stars on baking sheets. Bake for 10 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown. If you have extras, you can use other small cookie cutters. I made mini gingerbread men.

Remove these cute little puffs from the baking sheets and cool on a wire rack. Now it's time for the magic to happen! Ready for fun?

Top 1 large star pastry with about 1 teaspoon pudding. Top with 1 medium star pastry, turning the star so the points do not line up. Top with about 1 teaspoon pudding and place 1 small star pastry on top. Repeat with the remaining star pastries. This recipe makes 8 yummy trees.

Drizzle the trees very lightly with honey. Sprinkle lightly with green sugar and finally, top each with a halved maraschino cherry. Voila! So adorable!
