This post is sponsored by the Ice Cream Adventures promotion at Publix. The opinions and text are all mine.

Take summer to the next level with a cute dessert idea that the whole family will love. Today, I'm excited to share some inspiration to set up an Ice Cream Bar in a Float that can be enjoyed anytime and anywhere this season. With a quick trip to Publix, you'll be able to stock up on the best ice cream and toppings to make the best custom toppings bar around. If you shop this week, you will be able to score special savings, keep reading for details and look for shelf signs throughout the store highlighting savings during this promotion.

When the weather heats up, it's much more fun when you have an ice cream bar in a float to cool down with.

HOW TO SET UP AN ICE CREAM BAR

Next, you will need to select a few ice cream options. If your family adores the trying new thing, I highly recommend trying Jeni's Ice Cream, I've tried five flavors so far and each one has been absolutely delicious.

The flavors and ingredients really come together for an amazing experience.

For this ice cream bar, I included Jeni's Salty Caramel, Jeni's Brambleberry Crisp and Jeni's Blackout Chocolate Cake.

ICE CREAM BAR TOPPINGS

Now on to the toppings! Here is your chance to create a flavor bar experience for everyone. Then, each person can mix and match and choose their very own ice cream creation. Sound good? Here are some yummy ice cream toppings to get you started.

  • Nuts such as Fisher Chef's Natural Walnuts
  • Fruit Syrups such as Blackberry Patch Syrup
  • Whipped Topping or Whipped Cream
  • Sprinkles
  • Fresh Fruit

  • Fruit Sauces
  • Chocolate & Caramel Syrup
  • Candies
  • Crushed Cookies

After you decide what toppings you will be serving, add them to mini bowls.

Place the bowls along with the ice cream pints and ice cream scoop on top of the ice in your float. Easy peasy.

Don't forget to include ice cream cones or cups, too!

No matter how much time you have on your hands, you can set up something memorable to enjoy as a family.

An ice cream bar is self-serve, making it a whole lot easier for everyone to dig in!
