Cute Turkey Pie Slices to Gobble Up
Gobble, gobble. It's one of my favorite things to do for Thanksgiving. Delicious food is a must but it's spending time with family and friends to enjoy it all that takes the cake... or pie in this case. Today I'm sharing how to take a frozen pumpkin pie and turn it into cute "turkey" pie slices and a seriously delicious way to serve up. Top it all with Reddi-wip for T-day treats everyone will gobble up. This is a sponsored post.
Thanksgiving is on my list of top holidays and can you blame me? Spending the entire day in the kitchen is definitely not on my menu, so these tasty shortcuts I'm sharing today are a must.
The best part is you can say you made it... because you kind of did. Secret is safe with me. 😉
Make Cute Turkey Desserts
Turkey-fying a delish Marie Callender’s Pumpkin Pie is easy. Make colorful "feathers" with fall colored chocolate and peanut butter candies. I loved layering the orange, brown and yellow candies and switching them up. Plus the addition of chocolate and peanut butter along with pumpkin is surprisingly delish, too.
Make a turkey face with a cookie. I loved vanilla wafers for this, but you can use almost any plan small cookie of any flavor. Add candy eyes using icing to make them stay and a cute poof of "feathers" using a little Reddi-wip. For a final dash of cuteness, sprinkle a little cinnamon on top.
To make the beak, you can simply use a toothpick to make two little dots directly on to the pumpkin pie slice. If you want to make a candy beak instead, roll an orange candy out flat and cut into a triangle shape to match the pie slice tip. Then use a toothpick to add the dots directly to the candy.
Use another piece of red taffy-like candy piece and roll it. Press it into the orange candy, use icing if needed to make it stick, if desired.
That's it, now you have an adorable slice of pie that will make everyone smile.
Now, for a deliciously easy next-level hot cocoa, check out this recipe idea. All you need is prepared Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa, vanilla ice cream and some Reddi-wip.
Simply scoop vanilla ice cream into a mug, pour Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa over top. Mmm. Then add some Reddi-wip over top and sprinkle with a little cinnamon to make it extra fancy. Voila! A unique Thanksgiving day treat that your guests will remember.
If you want to spend more time enjoying your company around the Thanksgiving table this year, make sure to pick up Marie Callender’s Pumpkin Pie, Swiss Miss & Reddi-wip at Walmart. It's a time saving way to serve up the perfect Thanksgiving day desserts without the fuss.
What are your favorite T-day treats? Have you tried Marie Callender's Pumpkin Pie yet?
Oh wow! This is a fun idea. It's really cute. I should try this.
I wonder if I could convince the family to have this type of turkey for Thanksgiving rather than a traditional birds. I'm betting it's an easy sell!
You did a great job on these. Thanks for the smile, we all need a little distraction today
Those are absolutely adorable! My daughter is quite the help in the kitchen and would love making them!
Dawn these turned out SO incredibly cute!!! The only thing I'd say is they do need more whip cream. LOL. I'm a bit obsessed and cover it crust to tip with Pumpkin Pie.
With the coco, is the idea to mix it in with the ice cream? I've had frozen coco before, and it was amazing. I think I'd like to try this recipe on for size, just to see the results.
