DIY Penguin Snow Globe Gift Idea
It's the season of giving, friends. Whether you're looking to treat your mom, a girlfriend or your child's teacher this winter, this DIY Penguin Snow Globe Gift will make them smile now AND later. This is a sponsored post about Dove products your love enough to share, all opinions are my own.
Giving the gift of soft smooth skin this winter is extra easy. All you need is a bottle of my favorite body wash and a few other supplies to make it extra awesome. I've been using Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash for quite some time and it's one of the best ways I know to turn my shower into a sanctuary. It creates a wonderful creamy lather that envelopes my skin. This formula is known to offer up softer, smoother skin in just one shower.
With multi packs available at Sam's Club for a budget friendly must have, it's an easy way to treat yourself and people on your holiday shopping list. I recently just renewed my membership for another great year of big buys and savings. Plus, I'm totally loving their new order online and pick up service. How awesome is that? Have you tried it yet? Sweet time saver! Now you'll have time to make these super cute gifts. Ready?
DIY Penguin Snow Globe Gift
Here's what you'll need:
- Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash
- Large and Tall Clear Jar
- Black & Orange Permanent Markers
- Yarn, ribbon or strip of cloth for the scarf.
- Cotton Balls for "snow"
- Glue Dots or other temporary adhesive to secure body wash to jar.
- Optional: Glitter
Step One: Turn the Dove Body Wash to the side to draw a penguin face. I used black marker for the eyes and to make an embellishment for the top of the head. These bottles work perfectly for this. Then, make an upside down triangle for the nose with the orange marker.
Step Two: Tie the "scarf" onto the "penguin".
Optionally sprinkle a little glitter into the jar. Put the cap on and swirl around for an added sparkly effect.
Step Three: Use a temporary adhesive such as Glue Dots to adhere the penguin bottle to the jar's cap.
Step Four: Place a large handful of cotton balls in the jar and carefully twist the jar onto the cap. Tilt around to get the cotton balls into place.
That's it! Now you have an adorable gift that will soothe dry skin this winter!
The improved ultra-mild formula is now even gentler with the rich lather you love. Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash provides skin more natural nourishment than most body washes and rinses quickly and cleanly to reveal soft, smooth skin.

What creative gift ideas are you sharing this season?
What a fun and creative DIY gift! Love that this bottle looks just like a penguin ready for the winter!
You're the most creative gal I know, and also one of my faves! This is adorable, Dawn!!!
Glitter is usually out of control. I know it's hard for some people to believe but you can do a craft project without glitter. 😉
What a fun idea. This is a super cute snow globe.
Glad you like the idea. It was really fun to do!
This is such a fun craft idea, I love snow globes so this would be a gift that would make me shed a tear that's who important snow globes are to me!
Snow globes can make such a great collection piece for the holidays. I know a lot of people who collect them for specific memories and put them out at Christmas. 🙂
This is just so cute! I love taking something simple and turning it into a cute gift. A few years ago my friend made a snow globe with water and glitter, the whole nine yards, and it had a gift card in the middle of it. It looked like it'd be messy to get out, but the way it was done, it was completely dry and easy to access.
Your friend sounds very crafty! I love that idea!
That is SO adorable! What a great way to recycle an empty container! Looks easy to make too!
It is a very easy project. It's nice when you can recycle to do your Christmas crafts. 😉
Aww, these are so adorable. I need to make some for my mom and my sister! Too cute!
I bet they would love it! 🙂
What a clever reuse project. I love this fun winter craft for the kids.
I bet kids would totally love doing this project. Let me know how it goes if you try it. 🙂
Cute idea and so much cleaner than dealing with glitter. No water to leak out either!
I'm all about not making a mess to do a project if possible. LOL! 😉
How cute is that?! What a great way to dress up and cute -ify a gift!
Glad you like it! I thought it was pretty cute. 🙂
