Decorating Ideas
Decorating your Funfetti Angel Food Sheet Pan Cake is where you can really let your creativity shine. Here are some fun and festive ideas to make your cake look as good as it tastes:
- Classic Whipped Cream: A dollop of freshly whipped cream adds a light sweetness that matches the lightness of the cake. You can even add a few extra sprinkles on top for added flair.
- Glaze Icing: Simple glaze made with powdered sugar and milk can add a delicate sweetness. Drizzle it over the cake for a lovely, shiny finish.
- Frosting Layers: Use buttercream or cream cheese frosting for a richer flavor. Spread a thin layer over the entire cake or pipe decorative swirls around the edges.
- Fresh Fruits: Top the cake with a colorful array of fresh berries, such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. The freshness of the fruit pairs beautifully with the light and airy cake.
- Candy Toppings: For a more playful look, decorate the cake with mini marshmallows, gummy bears, or chopped-up candy bars. This is especially fun for kids' parties!

Tips and Tricks

Storage Tips for Funfetti Angel Food Sheet Pan Cake
- Room Temperature: Keep the cake at room temperature for up to two days. Cover it lightly with aluminum foil or plastic wrap to prevent it from drying out.
- Refrigeration: If you need to store the cake for longer, place it in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh for 4-5 days. Ensure it’s in an airtight container to avoid absorbing other fridge odors.
- Freezing: You can also freeze the cake. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil. It can be stored this way for up to a month. Thaw it at room temperature before serving.
- Avoid Moisture: Keep the cake away from moist environments. Angel food cake tends to absorb moisture, which can make it soggy.

Notes
While testing this recipe I prepared my pan in different ways. In my opinion, they all work. Ungreased pan: This was excellent with my good/high-quality cookie sheet, non-stick. Having an ungreased pan helps the Angel cake to attach to the sides and get airy. But this recipe is not in a normal Angel Food cake pan, and the sides are lower. My favorite way to prepare the cookie sheet was to put oil on a paper towel and oil the bottom of my pan, not the sides. Pour my mixture into the cookie sheet and bake. Once it was baked, I let it sit on the counter to cool completely. If you don’t want to oil the bottom you can also put a silicone mat. Just be careful when you cut into pieces.
