Let's go through how to make these yum turkey inspired treats. With just a 3 steps, they will be prepared and ready to serve in very little time.
- Prepare the Nutter Butter Cookie Turkeys first. Use a toothpick and dabs of frosting to adhere two mini candy eyes and candy coated sunflower seeds as the beak and wattle to the upper half of the cookies while positioned vertically. Put aside to allow the frosting to set for at least 15 minutes.
- Use butter knife and smear pieces of candy corn with frosting to adhere them to the top back half of each donut. You want to cover a little less than half of the top of the donut.
- Gently press the prepared Nutter Butter cookies into the hole in the center of each donut. Press them down deep enough so that the cookies can securely sit upright without any help. If for some reason they need extra help, use some more frosting to help set them into place.
