Chocolate Chip Cherry Dessert

Chocolate Chip Cherry Dessert

This is one of the easiest baked desserts I've ever made and it's SO delicious. This makes for a perfect dessert for any occasion with little fuss.

There are just three simple ingredients that come together for baked perfection. The flavor combo is top notch, so let's dig into this Chocolate Chip Cherry Dessert recipe.

baked pan of chocolate chip cherry pie.

I've discovered this basic recipe idea but made with sugar cookie dough. Brilliant! I wanted to tweak it in the smallest way to transform it into yet another yummy dessert option.

With just three ingredients, this is absolutely a winner. I served it for my mom's birthday and there wasn't a crumb left in sight. My husband may have eaten ⅓rd of it, but still. 😛

It's ooey and gooey and sweet as can be. If you have a sweet tooth, I guarantee you won't hear from it for a couple of days after enjoying this.

While this recipe is like a chocolate cherry bar, I find that it's more like a dessert that you eat with a fork. The chocolate chip cookie doesn't hold up well with the weight of the cherries, so definitely plan to enjoy on a plate. Add some ice cream or whipped cream to take it to the next level. Yum.

3 INGREDIENT CHOCOLATE CHIP CHERRY DESSERT

Are you ready for something super sweet but easy to make? This time saving dessert is perfect for almost any occasion and particularly awesome for last-minute events.

It's just that easy with few ingredients and short baking time. Prepare to wow them all.

This brings chocolate cherry and almond flavors together in the most surprising way. I can't wait for you to try this.

Here is what we're using to make these:

  • Refrigerated Store-bought cookie dough
  • Cherry Pie Filling
  • Almond or Vanilla Extract

Yes, yes. That is really it. And you won't believe how good the flavors come together. I used almond extract which I felt was brilliant. But, if you don't like it... you can use vanilla instead.

Start by greasing a 9" x 9" baking dish. Then, remove cookie dough from packaging. Set aside ¾ of a cup of the dough. You will need to break it apart to do that.

Press the remaining dough into the bottom of your baking dish until it's covered.

Next, spread the entire can of pie filling evenly over the top.

Then, break up smaller bits of the remaining dough and place them evenly over the top of the filling. Flatten each piece with your fingers before placing on top.
