If there's one thing that gets my family together, it's food. Did I say food, I meant football. Add food and football together and everyone is as happy as can be across the board or down the field. Score. Today I'm sharing one of my long time favorite game day appetizers! Enter Garlic Bread Meatball Sub Cups that are as easy as can be to make. This is a sponsored post with Lunchbox, all opinions are my own.
Chips, dips, pizza and handheld finger foods. You just can't go wrong when serving up game day grub to your guests. They just make Sunday game day's more awesome. This recipe that I'm sharing today is basically like a mini meatball grinder or sub (depending on what you call it) that's more bite sized.
We're basically going to hack some pre-made garlic bread into handheld snacks and then load them up with meatballs, cheese and some yummy pasta sauce. That's where Ragu Chunky Tomato, Garlic & Onion that can be found at your local HEB comes into play. You can choose whichever flavor you like best, but this one will add more punch.
So, let's make these Garlic Bread Meatball Sub Cups together. Shall we? Preheat your oven to 375. Defrost or gently warm desired amount of frozen garlic bread in a microwave. Be sure not toasted in any way or they will not be pliable. Spray your muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray. Press each piece of garlic bread delicately and evenly into the center of your muffin tins. Press the sides back and the center down into the tin to form a cup. Cook for about 14 minutes until the bread cups are perfectly crisped. Cool and remove.
Meanwhile prepare your meatballs according to package direction and stir in the jar of pasta sauce. Warm if needed.
Spoon one saucy meatball into each garlic bread cup and top with a pinch of shredded cheese.
Then, serve & enjoy! See? I told you this was easy!

A little more about Ragú® Chunky Tomato, Garlic & Onion. It's a classic Italian sauce chock full of tasty vegetables. Actually I'm really serious, there are two servings of veggies in every ½ cup of this sauce. It's made with 100% California Grown Tomatoes! Are you dooling yet?
