Are you enjoying summer? As I mentioned yesterday, we have our friends from Rhode Island visiting for the week. They have seven kiddos. That's right, seven! So, we've been doing a lot of fun kid oriented activities. Yesterday, I coordinated a surprise party for their 8 year old. Today, we spent the day poolside. Since the pool is in our private community, I was able to run home and just grab a bucket and fill it with ice. I packed up Klondike Bars and Popsicles, knowing that they would be guaranteed crowd-pleaser! (They totally were by the way).
It's amazing how a simple treat can bring such big smiles. It was probably the ONLY thing that would remotely tempt the kids to get out of the pool for a bit and take a little break.

All the kids appreciated the treat, our Jo' is 15 and then the triplets who are 13 got just as excited about having a treat as the little ones ranging from 2 to 8 years old. Phew, that's a lot of kids.
I'm feeling extra grateful for the good and simple things in life that bring us together.

Your kids are super adorable! I'm staying cool by staying indoors as much as possible. But, the weather hasn't been too bad so thankfully it's been comfortable.

I tell you, the pool is a great place to offer treats like this. If they get messy, oh well, shower off and jump in the pool. HA! Thanks for the sweeps, too :)
