This idea is really simple. With just a handful of ingredients, you an whip these up in no time. I've made it real simple by starting off with prepared cupcakes. That means you can make any kind you like and as little or as much as you want.

HOW TO ASSEMBLE POOL CUPCAKES

With just a few simple steps you can have a whole batch of pool cupcakes. Let's do it.

Start by frosting each cupcake with a thin layer of strawberry frosting and then set them aside.

Next up, roll out your fondant into 5 inch strips. You will need two per cupcake.

First wrap one fondant strip around a small circular cookie cutter. Then layer two strips on top of each other to create the "pool".

Very carefully place each fondant pool on top of each cupcake.

Once they are set on top, fill the pools with two teaspoons of blue raspberry gelatin.

For a fun final touch, place a mini gum ball on top of the jello in the fondant pools and a drink umbrella into the cupcake.

Pool Cupcakes

Prep Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • Prepared Cupcakes
  • Strawberry Frosting
  • Pink Fondant
  • Prepared Blue Raspberry Jello
  • Mini Gum Balls
  • Drink Umbrellas

Instructions

Any flavor of cupcake can work for this recipe, but light-colored cakes do look the best

(strawberry, vanilla, lemon, etc)

These cupcakes should be consumed the same day they are assembled, due to the

jello.
