Add a Personal Touch with DIY Wrapping Paper

So easy to make your own wrapping paper, it's so much cheaper and way more thoughtful.

Every year it's the same thing. I want to give thoughtful and useful gifts, but it's no easy feat. Last year, I came up with some simple ways to add a personal touch to gifts without breaking the bank (or my brain). It's actually just so simple when you think about it. Just make your own DIY Wrapping Paper. If that's not the perfect "personal touch", I don't know what is. This is a sponsored post about Holiday Gift Sets at Walmart all opinions are my own.

Walmart is helping us this year with some mega awesome gift sets too. Because, ya can't just give people wrapping paper for the holidays. That would be weird. So, let's take a look. You can pick up a variety of these special gift packs featuring brands like AXE, Dove, and Caress. The fun part is that each of the sets are unique.

Not only are these great savings, but some come with more extras like toiletry cases. The savings are pretty big. The AXE Anarchy set that I chose is valued at $26 and comes with 4 products, but I only paid $14.88!

While I was at Walmart, I also picked up a big roll of brown Kraft paper to make the wrapping paper. This is a good deal too, it was about $5 and comes with WAY more wrap that a regular roll of printed gift wrap. It's like a blank canvas. I've been loving gold as of late, so I simple took a gold leafing pen to make polka dots.

You can use pretty much any writing utensil of choice. Some examples are markers, paint pens or glitter pens. Then color? the sky is the limit.  I recommend cutting out the desired size paper, drawing your polka dots and then letting dry a bit before wrapping your gift. Most writing utensils should dry pretty quick. Then, just wrap, wrap... wrap!

So, which of these special holiday gift sets will you pick up at Walmart for holiday gifts?

Will it be a Dove gift pack or maybe AXE?

How could you make a roll of brown paper your own wrapping paper? What could you do?
