NEW YEAR'S CHARCUTERIE BOARD RECIPE NOTES

  • If you are using a wooden serving board/tray, make sure to line it with parchment paper. The natural oils in foods will soak into the wood and stain it if you do not line it with parchment or something similar.
  • You could also use plastic wrap instead of parchment paper if you prefer.
  • If you would like, you can also add sliced apples, nuts, and figs!
  • If you make this ahead of time, just keep it in the fridge until you plan on serving it. The board can stay out for 2 hours. Make sure not to keep it out much longer than that, considering there is meat and cheese.
  • The salami and ham can easily be substituted for other meats, such as prosciutto, pepperoni, and bresaola.
  • The best thing about this board is that you can customize it to suit your tastebuds. So, feel free to get creative and go crazy with your favorite snacks.

What size board do I need to make this appetizer?

I recommend that you use a board that is at least 15 x 15 inches, or larger if you plan on feeding a large crowd.
