Cute Anti Valentine Tree Decor
Not everyone is all gaga about Valentine's Day! I came up with a totally random idea to create a love stinks theme for those who just aren't feelin' it. This would also make a fun addition to a Galentine's Day celebration, too. True story, this whole tree idea was inspired by a Poop Emoji pinata. Let me show you this super simple Anti Valentine tree decor ideas that I put together. This post may contain affiliate links.
You may have seen my Romantic Valentine's Day Tree earlier this week, well this version is basically the complete opposite. It goes along the lines of fries before guys, foods before dudes and all the other funny sayings that are trendy but somehow resonate when you're single or totally over a recent breakup. Feel like this is the perfect time for a disclosure that my husband and I are doing great, maybe even better than ever. This isn't a wink wink kind of post or anything. So don't blow up my inbox. 😛 I promise this tree speaks to my sense of humor more than anything.
LOVE STINKS VALENTINE'S DAY TREE
For this funny but simple tree, I pulled out my original Pink Christmas Tree out from my closet. I realize that I never wrote a post just about that tree, so I figured it would be a good time. Still obsessed! Let me share the easy way that I decorated this tree. You could really go all out if you wanted to but my budget was basically zero for this since I already did a tree for the holiday if you know what I mean.
So, let me show you the basic fun goodies that I used to put this Love Stinks tree up.
ANTI VALENTINE TREE TOPPER - This was not my first idea, but the rainbow piñata I actually planned looks so awful. 😛 I had this "anti valentine conversation heart" pillow that I purchased to match and thought - hey, why not? I actually love how it turned out. I used a glue gun to attach a ribbon to the back of the pillow. Then, I was able to tie it to the top of the tree. Easy, peasy. Here is the anti valentine pillow that I used. There are some other funny ones, too like "Taco",
ANTI VALENTINES'S DAY ORNAMENTS
Spoiler alert, there really aren't any available. SO, I had to get super creative here. Hear me out. 😛
POOP EMOJI ORNAMENT - I wanted the rainbow poop vibe and there were very limited options available online, so I transformed cupcake toppers into ornaments by carefully removing the toothpick and gluing string to the back instead. These are the rainbow poop emoji cupcake toppers I used.
MINI WHOOPEE CUSHIONS - This is one of the funniest things on the tree, no doubt. These mini "Love Stinks" Whoopee Cushions could not be more hilarious to add to an anti love tree. There is not a better way to bring a love stinks them to life if you ask me. Here are the ones that I used here.
LOVE STINKS SIGN - Love adding signs to my trees, so I had a custom wood sign made locally at Teak Lane Designs that will also ship out. You can also order custom signs on Etsy, too.
RAINBOW BOWS - I wanted to kind of play off of the Rainbow Poop Emoji Ornaments by adding little bows with similar colors down the tree. I made my own ultra simple bows using this ribbon set and a glue gun.
That's literally it. But you can add SO many things to your tree. Garlands, regular ornaments and so much more. Have fun. Get creative.
This fun twist on a traditional Valentine's Day tree is the second idea as part of my Christmas Tree ideas with Savvy Saving Couple. Check out her second tree inspo with this gorgeous Farmhouse Style Tree for Valentine's Day. It's SO pretty, I love it! Be sure to visit and tell her I sent you!
