SET UP A BIRTHDAY DESSERT BOARD

Now that you've gathered all the best goodies and treats, it's time to assemble this yummy birthday tray.

STEP ONE: Divide buttercream into bowls based on how many colors you plan to use. Use food coloring gel to tint each bowl to the desired color.

STEP TWO: Spoon colored buttercream into pastry bags with the frosting tip inserted. Either use multiples or clean each in between color and use a new pastry bag.

STEP THREE: Pipe buttercream onto your serving board. Tip down, squeeze a small amount of frosting out onto the board surface, release the pressure and pull bag straight up to create a dab of frosting. Repeat this process to make each frosting dab into a squiggly line. Alternate colors for fun.

STEP FOUR: Lay down small bowls with sprinkles if desired. Then, have fun adding in all of the cookies, cupcakes and marshmallows. Add the larger items first and then come in with the smaller items like sprinkles and mini marshmallows to fill in the empty spaces.

Voila! You now have an epic birthday treat for your friends and loved ones to enjoy.
