Ever since I first learned of the Minnie Mouse Potion Purple Ear Headband at Disney, I knew I had to have them. Purple is totally one of my fav colors! Once I heard that they were spotted at the World Of Disney store at Disney Springs, I knew I had to go, go, go. And… score! I was SO happy that I was able to find them on the first try! Whoo hoo. Enter Minnie Potion Purple Cookies that are so easy that anyone can make them! Let’s jump right into cookie creaton, shall we?
POTION PURPLE COOKIES RECIPE
5 Sugar or Butter Cookies.
10 Vanilla Wafers such as Nilla brand.
White Cookie Icing, like this Betty Crocker style.
Violet Color Mist.
Purple Sugar Sprinkles like these.
Wilton Pearl Dust, Lavender.
Decorative Food brush, I used one from this Wilton brush set.
Here’s is how to whip these cookies up in no time at all:
Step One: Add cookie icing to all of the sugar/butter cookies as well as vanilla wafers and let set completely.
Step Two: Following directions, spray cookies with Color Mist from about 6″ away and cover completely.
Step Three: Cover cookies with purple sprinkles.
Step Four: Put cookies together by gently pressing the smaller vanilla wafers into the larger cookies. Use a dab of extra icing if needed. Let the cookies set until they are firmly stuck together.
Step Five: Make bows out of Grape Airheads. Cut the very ends off each piece so that the edges are straight. Then, fold the sides around the back and press in. Press the center of each piece in to form a bow shape.
Step Six: Using a dab of icing, press the bows into the center of the ear area on the cookies, let set completely.
Step Seven: Using a decorative food brush, cover each bow with Pearl Dust for the final beautiful touch!
