Have you heard? Hotel Transylvania 3 is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD and digital now! Even if you saw the movie in theaters, you're going to want in at home, too! I'm going to share this adorable Halloween Jack-o-Lanterns idea that is included as a bonus tutorial that you can score! I combined this fun idea with the cute free Hotel Transylvania pumpkin carving stencils that can be downloaded right now (see below). The merging of these two ideas was brilliant! Enter, Murray.. the watermelon mummy. WATERMELON JACK-O-LANTERNS
Get ready to make this a Hotel Transylvania 3 kind of Halloween. To make these fun watermelon jack-o-lanterns, first get your free printable downloadable character!
HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA PUMPKIN CARVING TEMPLATES
Find Hotel Transylvania 3 pumpkin carving stencils to get started. Download the PDF here. Here are the movie characters you can choose from:
- Murray
- Frank
- Drac
- Mavis
- Winnie
- Zombie
Print your favorite character and grab these additional supplies:
- Small round mini watermelon
- Pumpkin carving kit
- Pushpin
- Marker
This activity is intended for adult supervision.
Tape your template onto your watermelon to get started. Then, use a pushpin to trace out the lines so that you will be able to draw over them once you are done.
Remove the paper and then use a marker to carefully trace the lines.
Then, cut the top of your watermelon off and scoop out the entire watermelon making sure to use it for something yummy.
Finally, use your pumpkin carving kit to cut out your character. Voila. How cool is this?
