MAKE BLUE CANDY COATED APPLES
Making these celebratory apples is easy with just a few steps.
Start by cleaning the apples really well and letting them dry completely. Then, remove the steps and insert the treat sticks into the centers of each.
Now, it's time to get your blue chocolate wafters melting. Be sure to read the package directions to get the best method and tips to ensure a smooth melt.
Once you have a perfectly melted smooth texture, dip the apples quickly into the melted candy and cover the entire apple. Repeat to all the apples and place them down on the wax paper to set immediately.
They will likely be set in about 20 minutes, you an also put them in the refrigerator to quicken this step if desired.
While the apples are setting, use a rolling pin to flatten all of your pieces of taffy including both blue and red. Shape 8 pieces of blue taffy using kitchen shears into ears by rounding off the bottom of each strip.
Trim out 4 small oval shapes out of the remaining blue taffy to be used as the noses. Next cut out 4 tongue shapes out of the red colored taffy.
Finally, use up the remaining melted candy to adhere the ears, candy eyes, nose and tongue onto your apples.
They are now ready to serve and enjoy at your watch party! How fun!
