All you need are a handful of ingredients and voila! You'll have an array of colorful butterfly snacks that everyone can enjoy in no time at all. So gather up those ingredients today and start making some yummy Butterfly Pretzels, it's the perfect way to celebrate springtime snacking with family and friends alike!

Here is what you will need:

  • MINI TWIST PRETZELS: Mini twists make awesome butterfly wings! You can use your favorite brand of pretzel twists.
  • PRETZEL DIPPING STICKS: Dipping sticks make the perfect body for these candy-coated pretzel butterflies!
  • CANDY MELTS: Pink, blue, and yellow colors are perfect for that pretty spring look! Use your favorite colors to make your own butterfly pretzels. 
  • PASTEL SPRINKLES: We used pastel nonpareil sprinkles and confetti sprinkles for this yummy treat.

MAKE BUTTERFLY PRETZELS FOR SPRING

There are a few simple steps to make these adorable spring snacks. Here we go. Be sure to scroll to the recipe card if you would like to print or save them for later.

First, let's prepare your space. Clear your counter, dining table or simply use two large baking sheets and cover with wax or parchment paper.

Place each of the colored candy melts into microwave-safe bowls. Microwave each bowl in 30-second increments until the candy melts are smooth and creamy. Be sure not to overheat the candy melts.

Using the candy dipping tool or a fork, dip a pretzel stick in your favorite color of melted candy. Allow the excess candy to drip off, then place it on your prepared baking sheet. This will be the body of the butterfly treat.

Then dip two of the mini twist pretzels into another shade of candy melt and put one pretzel twist on each side of the “body.” Sprinkle with colorful pastel sprinkles. 

Repeat the process with the remaining pretzels and candy.

Have fun and make your design by modifying the color and style of the butterflies. Allow the butterfly pretzels to dry for 30 minutes.

If your kitchen is hot, place them in the fridge for 15 minutes.

Freeze in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Thaw before eating.

Pretty pastel butterfly pretzels that are the perfect kid's snack for spring. Fun for Easter occasions, too.

Ingredients

  • 24 Pretzel dipping sticks
  • 48 mini twists pretzels
  • 1 cup pink candy melts
  • 1 cup blue candy melts
  • 1 cup yellow candy melts
  • 2 tablespoons pastel sprinkles

Instructions

Prepare your countertop or 2 large baking sheets with wax or parchment paper.

Place each 1-cup portion of colored candy melts into microwave-safe bowls. Microwave each bowl in 30-second increments until the candy melts are smooth and creamy. Do not overheat the candy melts.

Notes

Be sure to sprinkle the candy-coated pretzels before the candy dries.
