HOW TO MAKE JALAPEÑO POPPERS USING CRESCENT ROLLS

It's seriously easy to make these delicious rolls, just a few simple steps until party time.

Start by preheating the oven to 375 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet lightly with cooking spray and then set aside.

Next, in a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, bacon, jalapeños, green onion, and garlic powder until it's well combined.

Unroll your crescent roll dough can (I can't be the only one to cringe at this part) and separate out into triangles along the pre-made perforations.

Scoop 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture onto each piece of dough. Then, fold the dough around the cream cheese making sure that it's fully encased and the seams are completely sealed.

Finally, place the filled dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Then, bake for 12-15 minutes or until the rolls are a golden brown.

Serve warm and enjoy.

I am obsessed with how these turned out and can't wait to make these again and again.

The recipe is pretty flexible, too. You can easily swap out some ingredients to make this your own.

You can also control the heat by adjusting how much of the jalapeño membrane you leave on the peppers if you prefer a stronger blast of heat.

HOW TO STORE LEFTOVER JALAPEÑO ROLLS?

You can store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to two days.

Leftovers will be best when reheated in a 300-degree F oven for 8-10 minutes or until heated through.

Reheating in the microwave will result in a soggy dough.

HOW TO STORE LEFTOVER JALAPEÑO ROLLS?

If you like your jalapeño poppers with a little extra kick you can add ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the cream cheese mixture.

If you prefer a more golden finish on your crescent rolls, you can brush the balls with egg wash or melted butter right before baking. Add a little garlic powder and salt to next them to the next level.

These jalapeño popper bites can easily be made vegetarian by omitting the bacon.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I recommend wearing disposable gloves when handling jalapeños. If you don’t have any gloves available you can use sandwich bags on your hands instead.

I like serving these bites with ranch dipping sauce.

Easy Jalapeño Poppers Recipe Using Crescent Rolls. Perfect hearty appetizer with a little kick.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 3 large jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (8-ounce) can of crescent rolls (8-roll count)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and set aside.

Mix the cream cheese, bacon, jalapeños, green onion, and garlic powder in a medium bowl until well combined.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles along the perforations.

Place a scoop (about 2 tablespoons) of the cream cheese mixture onto each piece of dough. Fold the dough around the cream cheese ensuring it is fully encased and the seams are sealed.

Place the filled dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve warm.

Notes

I recommend wearing disposable gloves when handling jalapeños. If you don’t have any gloves available you can use sandwich bags on your hands instead.

I find the easiest way to mix the other ingredients with the cream cheese is with your hands. If you don’t want to get your hands dirty, a spoon will work, it will just take a little longer to get everything combined.

If you like your jalapeño poppers with a little extra kick you can add ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the cream cheese mixture.

If you prefer a more golden finish on your crescent rolls, you can brush the balls with eggwash or melted butter right before baking.

These jalapeño popper bites can easily be made vegetarian by omitting the bacon.

These appetizer bites pair well when served with ranch dressing.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to two days.

Leftovers are best reheated in a 300-degree F oven for 8-10 minutes or until heated through. I do not recommend reheating in the microwave as the dough will get soggy.
