Spring is in the air. It really is! The countdown is officially on with only a few days left of winter. While, here in Florida it's been HOT, I am extra happy for my friends and family back in New England. Hopefully all that snow melts quickly! We need to clear room for the Easter Bunny!
I thought it would be fun to start sharing some Easter ideas this week. This is an extremely simple way to share some spring or Easter lovin' with a gal pal or teenager in your life. Making "carrot" nail polish is simple and fun, I promise.
All you'll need is some orange tinted nail polish and green construction paper. Pretty sweet if you ask me!
I cut a standard sized piece of green construction paper into four even strips the long way. Then, I wrapped it around the top of the nail polish bottle two times around and trimmed off the excess paper. Next, I wrapped the paper around again and taped it so it fit snugly around the top but no too tight.
Removing the paper, I make cuts somewhat evenly around the entire "circle". To give it some depth, make some of the cuts a little deeper than others. For a final touch, fan out the strips a bit to give it a little wild look. Put the "carrot stem" back onto the nail polish bottle. There you have it, a cute little bottle of carrot nail polish!
To make this extra cute for gifting, I also made a little gift tag to go along with this project.
You can print my ↘ "Bunny Bait Polish" {8 Per Page PDF) here.
The color of nail polish I used is called "Feel the Vibe". It was only $1.99 at Walgreens.
