This BBQ grilled chicken recipe is a simple and quick way to cook up some succulent, juicy meat. This dish is made using boneless chicken, but there's no wrong choice if you're feeling adventurous!

BBQ GRILLED CHICKEN INGREDIENTS

This recipe is a great way to enjoy the summer. These are the ingredients needed to make yourself an absolutely delicious meal!

You will need the following ingredients:

  • Ketchup
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Brown sugar
  • Olive oil
  • Worcestershire
  • Dijon mustard
  • Pepper
  • Liquid smoke
  • Onion powder
  • Boneless Chicken breasts

HOW TO MAKE BBQ CHICKEN ON THE GRILL

This recipe is surprisingly easy to make. Start by mixing apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, pepper, liquid smoke, and onion powder in a large bowl.

Once the marinade is well combined, set aside about ¼ cup to use later.

Add the boneless chicken breasts to the bowl of marinade and make sure each piece is fully coated.

Cover the bowl and store in the fridge so that it can further marinate while you preheat the grill on medium-high.

Add marinated chicken breasts to the grill for a total of 10 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees. Use grill tongs to flip the chicken just once halfway through.

Serve the cooked chicken straight off the grill warm along with the reserved sauce.

Yes, you can make this BBQ chicken in an oven instead of a grill. Bake in a baking pan for 20 minutes at 375 degrees or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees.

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire
  • 1 ½ tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 drops liquid smoke
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 5 chicken breasts (about 2 lbs)

Instructions

1. In a large bowl mix apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, olive oil, worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, pepper, liquid smoke, and onion powder until well combined. 

2. Set about ¼ cup of BBQ marinade aside to use as a sauce after the chicken is cooked.

3. Add chicken to the bowl of marinade making sure to coat each piece completely. Cover the bowl and put it in a refrigerator to marinate while preheating the grill.

4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

5. Grill chicken breasts for 10 minutes flipping once halfway through with grill tongs. Be sure to keep the chicken on the grill until the internal temperature of the chicken breasts reaches 165 degrees.

6. Remove the chicken from the grill and serve it warm with the extra sauce.

Notes

This Grilled BBQ Chicken can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days in a refrigerator or 4 months in a freezer.
